Prestige Assisted Living in Kalispell invites the community to attend a free discussion on new trends in Alzheimer’s and dementia care at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at 125 Glenwood Drive. The talk will be led by David Troxel, MPH, an internationally recognized memory care expert who helped pioneer the “Best Friends Approach” to caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Troxel will discuss the newest trends, research and treatment for dementia care. Questions from the audience are encouraged and refreshments will be served. Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
