LaVerle Moultrie, 86, resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, peacefully went to be with our Lord on March 1, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loving husband, Ron and her children.

She was born July 6, 1931, in Clark Fork, Idaho, the daughter of Paul E. Parenteau and Evelyn (Schilling) Parenteau. LaVerle attended school in Clark Fork.

She met the love of her life, Ron Moultrie, while working on a ranch in Leadore, Idaho. They were married in Salmon, Idaho, on April, 18, 1959.

LaVerle greatly enjoyed working in her yard and garden, traveling and a good camping trip. She and Ron spent many wonderful hours together fishing in their boat on Lake Coeur d’Alene. LaVerle loved music; she played the piano, accordion and the organ. Some of her most cherished memories were playing for her family, friends and grandchildren. LaVerle loved animals, especially her cat, Maggie, and dog, Rusty.

LaVerle attended St. Pius and St. Thomas Catholic churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Wayne and William “Bill” Parenteau.

Survivors are her husband, Ron Moultrie of Coeur d’Alene; son, Russell Moultrie of Prescott, Ariz.; daughters, Deborah Schwenson of Richland, Wash., and Lynda (Bill) Dalton of Abing-don, Va.; brother, Leonard Paren-teau; sister, Lois Blasko of Priest River, Idaho; grandchildren, Lisa Moultrie, Jennifer Pierce, Robert Dalton and Elizabeth Krause. LaVerle was blessed with six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and funeral services are planned for a later date.

We would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of North Idaho (Coeur d’Alene), especially Lisa, Amy, Maggie, Megan, Vicky and Julie. They were a blessing for our family and we will be forever grateful to them.

Donations in LaVerle’s name may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. 208-772-7994. It will be greatly appreciated as this is a charity close to our hearts.

Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83815. A luncheon will follow the service.
