Outage lasted about two hours for some customers, four hours for others

MOSES LAKE — Electricity is back on for Grant County PUD customers along Stratford Road and the area around the Larson Substation. Power was restored to the last customers at about 10 a.m.; electricity went off about 6 a.m.

Electricity was restored to the substation about 8:15 a.m., said Ryan Holterhoff, public information specialist for the PUD. The power came on for most customers when the substation was restored. Customers along Stratford Road, east to Road L and Northeast Road N, however, remained without power for about two additional hours. The outage affected about 1,039 customers.

Holterhoff said the initial outage was caused by an unspecified problem with a transformer at the substation.
