Kelly headed to State in javelin with top score at Darby/Florence meet

The Darby/Florence Invitational track meet was held in Corvallis on April 10 where Clark Fork Mountain Cat Hailey Kelly got herself a trip to State by placing first in women’s varsity javelin with a throw of 118-02.
Madison Kelly from St. Regis won second place in the 1600 meter race with a time of 5:50.20 beat by Salmon Katie Jo Gebhardt with 5:44.93.
In the 100 meter dash, Cat Trey Green set a personal record with a time of 12.31 putting him in third place behind Logan Robinson and Dakota Wood both from Seeley-Swan with times of 11.71 and 11.58. Cat Jesse Shaske placed sixth in the race, with a personal record of 12.51; where teammates Jake Calloway placed eighth with 12.60; Gerald Peterson, 12.64; Carson Callison, 12.80.
For St. Regis, Ian Ferris placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with 11.87, as well as sixth in 200 meter with 25.10. Teammate Madison Kelly earned third place in the 800 meter with 2:45.49 and Cat Jesse Shaske won sixth place with 2:14.46. Shaske also earned eighth place in the 1600 with 5:06.42, a personal best.
In 4x100 the Mountain Cats men’s team placed eighth with Gerald Peterson, Trey Green, Jesse Shaske and Brian Mask. The 4x400 relay Cat team also placed eighth with Gerald Peterson, Carson Callison, Jake Calloway and Jesse Shaske. The women’s 4x100 team placed seventh with Madison Mask, Madison Lommen, Bailey Milender, and Kylie Plakke. In men’s shot put, Cat Trey Green placed seventh with a throw of 43-01.
In junior varsity play, Cat Jake Calloway placed sixth in the 100 meter and Carson Callison placed eighth and Brian Mask placed ninth in the 200 with 27.36. In the 400 teammate, Bailey Milender placed sixth with 1:20.05 and Isaiah Kovalski placed third in men’s with 58.78. Milender also placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with 19.79 and she placed third in the 300 meter hurdles with 1:00.74.
Team Scores: Corvallis took top honors overall in varsity men and women and women JV with Loyola-Sacred Heart in first for JV men. St. Regis placed 16 in Varsity Men; and 12 in Varsity Women. Clark Fork JV placed ninth in men’s and seventh in women’s.
