The phrases “common sense” and “sensible” gun reform are nebulous, subjective phrases that can mean anything, and therefore mean nothing. Adolph Hitler and Hillary Clinton would define “sensible restrictions” much differently than would Thomas Jefferson or Ronald Reagan.
School shootings, bullying, and racism are all perfectly logical extensions of actually believing what all public schools teach students: that humans have evolved from lower life forms over millions of years of fit animals killing and edging out unfit animals. Should we really be surprised when a student applies it and shoots up a school?
What ever happened to “thou shalt not kill”? The right to life is derived from that divine commandment. The right to life is stated in the Declaration of Independence, paragraph II, as coming from a creator. Deny the creator, deny the right to life. Where do you derive the right to life from if we evolved from a process of killing and death? It is puzzling to see leftists now invoking the right to life, which they have trampled for decades in the abortion debate, as a means to institute their political agenda of civilian disarmament. Instead, let’s examine what we are “teaching” these young people. Beliefs have consequences and produce actions.
It is shocking when people propose blatantly unconstitutional laws, as if the Bill of Rights didn’t even exist. The Second Amendment is non-negotiable. Are all options really on the table? Harden schools, stop teaching children animal morality, and get back to God and moral absolutes.
