Spring cleanup slated in Mattawa

MATTAWA — The Mattawa Public Works Department will be hosting a spring clean up April 27-29 at 710 First Street.

During the clean up, yard waste such as branches, yard clippings, bagged leaves and grass will be accepted. Appliances and furniture including microwaves, ovens, range, dryers, washers, dishwashers, chairs, sofas, mattresses and glass will also be accepted.

Items that will not be accepted during the cleanup include refrigerators, air conditioners, tires, construction waste and hazardous liquids.

To participate in the spring clean up, a recent utility bill from within city limits or an ID with a Mattawa address must be presented.
