The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will host an open house to present design plans and the construction schedule for work to continue on Blue Slide Road on the outskirts of Thompson Falls after spring runoff shut down the road earlier this year.

The open house forum will be held at the Sanders County Courthouse on Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Members of the public have been invited to the open house for the opportunity to discuss the project with MDT staff and get any questions they may have answered.

According to a press release from MDT, the project will reconstruct a small section of Blue Slide Road nine miles west of the town of Thompson Falls.

The project is anticipated to begin in late August, expecting to take four to six weeks to complete.
