X-Games athletes to fly high at fairgrounds

COEUR D’ALENE — The North Idaho State Fair is bringing some new flavor to the fair a day early.

On Tuesday night, Aug. 21, while entertainers, vendors, 4-H families and attraction providers are busy setting up and putting the final touches on their displays, the crowd at the Findlay Arena will be cheering on some big-name X-Games athletes.

This extreme freestyle show, sponsored in part by T. LaRiviere Equipment & Excavation, Rockstar Energy Drink and Findlay Post Falls, will include tricks done on motorcycles and snowmobiles.

Described as “an epic, heart-pounding performance,” it’s a show to bring the kids to and not just watch, but get autographs too.

Tyler Johnson, owner of Octane Addictions, has been eager to put on a show in Coeur d’Alene. The riders are excited to get some arena time with the big ramps. The crowds can expect to see crazy whips and backflips, including stunts with the snowmobile.

The riders who will be in Coeur d’Alene for this show are:

Kris Foster, X-Games gold medalist.

Willie Elam, 11-time X-Games bronze medalist.

Brett Turcotte, 5-time medalist with two golds at the 2018 Aspen games.

Kyle Demelo, Canadian Red Bull and X-Games athlete.

Nate Adams, with 21-plus X-Games medals, he is the most decorated motocross athlete in X-Games history.

Tickets: Adults/$15, Youth/$10.

Since there will be set-up taking place on the remainder of the grounds, entrance for the show will take place at the ARENA GATE only. Enter the main parking lot off Government Way.
