TRUMP: A top 3 POTUS

I have been reading and hearing reports, articles and blogs about how much Trump and Lincoln had in common. The comparison is received from both side sof the aisle as heresy.

While it is true that both men were outsiders and despised by the press and their own and opposing parties, I believer there is more than these simple coincidences that historians may be overlooking.

Our war of independence could never have been won had we not had George Washington in command. We were so outnumbered by professional, disciplined army and navy against our ragtagged and some shoeless volunteers.

Back to Trump: Not a famous general or polished orator, but someone with a different and needed set of skills. A brash, unapologetic, blue collar billionaire. Not a politician but an impressive track record. He had gotten many large projects completed on time and under budget.

So my conclusions to this analogy are: 45 presidents of the U.S. and the top three are George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Donald Trump. George Washington enabled us to give birth to our nation. Abraham Lincoln is credited with keeping it intact. Donald Trump rescued it from the abyss.
