Parade for Little League All Stars next week

The Fund the Families Drive for the Coeur d'Alene Little League All Stars has been extended to the end of the month to help the team reach the $40,000 goal.
As of early evening Wednesday, the team's GoFundMe page showed $15,405 raised by 114 people in eight days. Fundraising and outreach coordinator Kiki Miller said it was estimated that just under $6,000 more was in the team's bank account, bringing the total to nearly $21,400. She said some checks and other donations are still floating around the community and will be included in the final tally later.
Miller said a welcome home parade on Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene has been scheduled for the team at 5:45 p.m. next Wednesday. She said it will start at Seventh Street and end at Coeur d'Alene City Park, where the team will interact with the community and share tales from the road.
The Coeur d'Alene All Stars will play the team from Barcelona in a consolation game at 8 a.m. today on ESPN.
