SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man was killed in an industrial accident on Thursday morning, sheriff’s officials have confirmed.
Randy Reynolds was operating a logging skidder in the 100 block of Rock Dome Road shortly after 7 a.m. when the piece of heavy equipment rolled and ejected Reynolds, who was fatally injured.
Bonner County Undersheriff Ror Lakewold called the incident a “very unfortunate situation.”
“The investigation shows it to clearly be an accident,” Lakewold said in an email.
Rock Dome Road is associated with the Forest Knolls housing development off west Pine Street, according to online real estate records.
Lakewold said next of kin have been notified.
“Our prayers go out to his family and friends,” Lakewold said.
