The 34th Nordicfest Heritage Festival begins Friday, Sept. 7, with the Bunad procession. The public is encouraged to participate or come watch it on Mineral Avenue in Libby.

Participants can walk or ride, and wearing an ethnic costume — or being a troll or Viking — is optional.

Those planning to participate in the procession are asked to arrive by 11:45 a.m. at the parking lot between the Libby Care Center and Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.

The group will depart at noon, heading to Mineral Avenue and then to the outdoor stage at the Libby Memorial Events Center.
