Mary Dorothy Lamphere, 89, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mary was born on Sept. 19, 1928, in Swiftcurrent, Saskatchewan, Canada, the last-born child of Harry and Ann Lamphere. She graduated from Venice High School in Venice, Calif., in 1960.
She moved to the Sandpoint area in the early 1990s where she became a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Mary enjoyed gardening, ceramics and hunting and fishing in both Idaho and Alaska.
Mary is survived by her son, Michael (John); her four grandchildren, Michelle, Katrina, Bryan and Jennifer; and by her eight great-grandchildren, Nickolas, Logan, Adam, Kendell, Joshua, Ava, Darren and Isabella.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ann Lamphere; her brothers, Frank, John and Harry; and sisters, Ruth and Pat.
Although she had a very hard time always showing it, Mary deeply loved her family.
