BONNERS FERRY — Representing the Badgers and Bonners Ferry High School are a dedicated group of girls that are training hard this year. Dressed in flash and sparkles, they entertain audiences, and compete with well rehearsed routines.
Their first chance to perform will be Aug. 31, where they will be doing a pom routine. They have already graced the Boundary County Fair parade, and have dedicated themselves to practicing from 6:30 to 8 a.m., four days a week.
“They are an extremely fun and lively bunch,” said Coach Lisa Dirks.
This year’s team consists of seniors Lindsey Christopherson and Jazmyne Lederhos, juniors Adrianne Brown and Lillian Goad, sophomores Sonya Adrejczak, Lily Blackmore, Rilynn Henslee, Bridget Olson, Avery Pluid, and freshmen Melanie Campbell and Reagan Fairchild.
This year they plan to have a dance day camp for grade and middle schools towards the end of September. Those interested should watch for information.
Dirks is excited about the team.
“We are planning on some new stuff this year!” she said.
The always fun and talented Badgerettes are off to a great start and will surely jazz up the year.
