BONNERS FERRY — The Badger girls soccer team played their first home game against Priest River, losing 3-0.
On Aug. 25, the team played a home game against Stillwater and came out on top, winning the game 1-0 on a 73rd minute goal by sophomore forward Makayla Mierke. Junior goalkeeper, Emily Sanchez made seven saves, including a penalty kick stop in the 65th minute.
On Aug. 28, they played an away game against Kellogg, losing the match 2-1. Kellogg scored their two goals in the first half, trailing the Badgers 2-0 at halftime. In the second half of the game, the Badgers mainly possessed the ball, which paved the way for Prairie Plaster to make a goal in the 68th minute.
