MOSES LAKE — The Signorelli name is synonymous with baseball in the Columbia Basin.

Greco is a fixture with programs ranging from little league to high school, Dylan played two seasons at Big Bend and Dominic — a senior at Moses Lake High School — was a USA TODAY High School Sports All-USA Washington Baseball Team selection last season.

Dominic’s sister Baylie was also a frequent partner for games of “catch” growing up.

Dominic Signorelli began to garner Division I interest during his junior season and Thursday he made his decision official, signing his national letter of intent to play baseball at Boise State University.

“It’s really exciting,” he said. “It was a tough decision to make, but I’m happy with it. I’m ready to go play.”

Signorelli’s junior season for Moses Lake was one for the books.

In addition to his USA TODAY recognition, Signorelli was selected to the 2018 Washington State Baseball Coaches Association 4A All-State Team. Signorelli played third base and hit .542 with a slugging percentage of .712, 18 RBIs and 23 runs scored. His eye-popping numbers helped the Chiefs capture a Columbia Basin Big Nine league championship.

Signorelli felt conflicted about what to do after high school, but ultimately chose to chase his dreams on the diamond.

“I had some schools I was thinking about going to, but I was also thinking about serving a mission as well,” he said. “I wasn’t quite sure about what I wanted to do first.”

Boise State head coach Gary Van Tol and Dominic’s mother Yvette helped with the decision.

“He called me — kept calling me,” Signorelli said. “He was getting persistent with it. He was kind of fun to talk to and then Mom finally talked me into going down to Boise and going down and taking a visit. I just really enjoyed it down there and they showed me all the stuff.

“We got to watch a game and it was just really overall exciting and a fun place to be.”
