A 20-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning in the Pablo area.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, the man, whose identity hasn’t been released, was crossing U.S. 93 near mile-marker 53 at about 1:05 a.m. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle which was traveling north.

A Highway Patrol representative said there were no indications of the vehicle braking before or after it hit the person, who was wearing dark clothing. After being hit, the man came to rest in the middle of the highway and was dead on the scene.

No other information was immediately available, but Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
