NO CAUSE FOR ALARM OVER “FLU”
There is no cause for alarm over the “flu” situation as I think we have it well in hand. We have had but four new cases in the last twenty-four hours. The new cases are much lighter and fatalities have been absent for weeks.
If you have been exposed to the “flu” do not mingle with crowds for four days as I believe an individual can spread contagion for minutes, possibly hours, before they develop the chill and fever and if those exposed will consider themselves a source of infection for four days after exposure and govern themselves as such, we will soon be “The Flueless City.”
I recommend that churches do not hold Sunday school and have but one Sunday service to which children in attendance must be accompanied by and sit with a parent.
Yours to make Sandpoint “The Flueless City.” Floyd Wendle, M.D., County Health Officer.
