It will be something for everyone at the Family Fun Community Christmas Event on Saturday, Dec. 15 in downtown Plains.
The fun-filled day begins with Santa pictures with Teresa Waterbury outside McGowan’s Grocery. The first 50 kids to attend get five Christmas cards with Santa free.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be chili and cornbread just outside the Mangy Moose. Add to that ornament crafts and hot cocoa for the kids at Hello Sweetness Designs. That’s a free event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 15.
Beginning at noon and going until 2 p.m. will be hayrides and Christmas caroling. Participants are asked to meet at the United Methodist Church.
A parade through downtown Plains starts at 12:30 p.m. Anyone interested in having a float in the parade should contact Steve Spurr by email at [email protected].
Santa will make an appearance at Ripples Ice Cream Parlor from 1 to 3 p.m. Then there is a kids’ Christmas movie at Llano theater.
From 3 to 5 p.m. there will be adult gingerbread house making at Dog Hill Bistro.
Mountain West Clothing and Plains Drug will have sales all day long on Dec. 15 (some exclusions apply).
