Sandpoint battled back from a 28-22 halftime defecit to beat Kellogg 54-53 on Tuesday night.
“We got contributions from every player,” Sandpoint head coach Wade Engelson said. “Everybody worked really hard. We made strides as a team tonight.”
Despite Kellogg extending its halftime lead to double digits, team defense and key shots from Kobe Banks spurred the Sandpoint comeback.
The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair until Kellogg missed a game-winner with five seconds left.
