Two Priest River Lamanna High School employees, Cherri Johnston and Justin Mullet, have been honored by the West Bonner County School District as its top employees for December.
In order to support and recognize outstanding employees, the district implemented the employee recognition program to honor certified and classified individuals who exemplify its district vision – “strive for greatness,” district officials said in a press release.
In addition to public recognition, area businesses have donated awards to the individuals who are recognized. This month’s sponsor is to Gateway Financial.
Johnston, the classified employee of the month, has been employed with West Bonner County School District for 27 years. Currently a kitchen manager at the high school, Johnston was nominated by a colleague. In the nomination letter, the colleague noted how positive and patient Cherri is with the students at PRLHS. “Cherri loves her job and it shows in how hard she works,” district official said. “Thank you for your dedication to our district.”
Justin Mullet, a teacher at Priest River Elementary, was named the certified employee of the month.
Mullet, who has been with the West Bonner County School District for five years, was nominated by his PRE colleges for being a positive role model for all students at the elementary school.
“Justin has a huge caseload and maintains a great rapport with students while ensuring all of his students make progress,” district officials said. “Thank you for your dedication to our district, Justin.”
