MOSES LAKE — Washington’s chief financial officer, Treasurer Duane Davidson, will be the featured speaker at Saturday’s Grant County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner/Fundraiser.
The dinner will be held at the Best Western Plus Lake Front Hotel, 3000 Marina Drive, starting at 5 p.m. The headliner for the dinner is Washington State Treasurer Duane Davidson, who himself has eastern Washington ties. He served as Benton County treasurer starting in 2003, a position he retained for four terms. Before he was elected as Benton County treasurer, Davidson was serving as the chief financial accountant for Benton County. During his tenure as Benton County treasurer, Davidson served three terms as president of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers.
“His long record as an auditor and elected treasurer in Benton County, coupled with three terms as president of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers, helped his election,” reads a statement from the Grant County GOP.
Davidson beat out fellow Republican Michael Waite for treasurer in the 2016 general election. In addition to Davidson, Fourth Congressional District Rep. Dan Newhouse, 13th District Sen. Judy Warnick and 13th District Representatives Tom Dent and Matt Manweller will be present at the dinner to speak with their constituents.
