Two school board seats up for re-election

Two school board seats are up for re-election this spring. School board President Jill Rocksund is up for re-election as is Jim Henjum. Both are three-year terms. People interested in filing for the election must do so by March 29.
Forms are available at the school administrative offices next to Glacier Gateway Elementary School.
This year, the school will hold a polling place at Glacier Gateway only. There’s about 9,000 active voters district-wide and about 3,500 absentee voters, but in the last election, only a handful voted at the Canyon Elementary.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
