SELTICE: Lookin' good

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 7 years, 2 months AGO

I want to applaud the city of Coeur d’Alene, ignite cda, Welch-Comer Engineering and T. LaRiviere Equipment and Excavation Inc. for the great job they are doing on Seltice Way. I saw the contractor racing against the on-coming winter last year to get the lanes in both directions opened and usable. There is still some work that will occur as soon as the weather allows and once it is done, it will be a huge improvement over the old road.

Roundabouts will keep traffic flowing and there will be art work at those locations. Landscaping will be installed in the spring. There are pedestrian/bicycle paths on both sides of the road, creating safe access for the numerous residents along the corridor. The Seltice Way improvements are just under 2 miles long from Northwest Boulevard to Huetter Road. The project was estimated to take two years; it is ahead of schedule. There is always some inconvenience with road construction, but this one will be well worth it.

Coeur d’Alene, ignite cda and your contractors should stand and take a bow. You have added a new and good asset to the community. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
