Ernest Arthur Bowman, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

Ernie was born on Nov. 3, 1953, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

He attended local schools and had worked in construction.

For many years he lived in Pocatello, Idaho, returning to his home in Sandpoint.

Ernie was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Ernie loved to fish on Lake Pend Orielle and Mirror Lake with his niece Heather and many dear friends.

He loved basketball and attending Gonzaga games.

Ernie also loved turtles, he collected many turtle figurines.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Leonard; his father, William F. Bowman; his stepfather, Leonard Leonard; and by his sisters, Connie Bowman, Dixie Nush, and Carol Bowman.

He is survived by his brother Loren Bowman; his sisters, Karen (Dave) Martin, Wilma (Francis) Cullooyah, Christina Stigall, Victoria (Glen) Leach, Betty Jo (Som) Piengleham, and Yolanda Bowman; his nieces, Heather Foster and Amy Nush; his nephews, George Nush and David Nush; his great-niece Erin “Pipsqueek” Olinger; along with several other nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
