Charlotte Snyder Anderton Warren

Charlotte Snyder Anderton Warren of Athol, Idaho, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at the age of 69.

Charlotte was born April 23, 1948, in Duchesne, Utah, to her loving parents, Walter Curtis Snyder and Theo Mecham. She is survived by her husband, Richard Warren; her sisters, Kathryn (Marc) Enggas, Peggy Snyder and Reno Hutchinson; her children, Brian (Debra) Anderton, Kenneth (April) Anderton, Eric (Ashlea) Anderton, Kristen (Paul) Swofford; 13 grandchildren, Natalia, James, Michael, Kaili, Maddison, Kelsey, Sierra, Zachary, Joshua, Kylianna, Elijah, Jonah and Ava; and one great-grandchild, Aspen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joel Snyder.

As a young girl Charlotte and her parents moved from Utah to Sandpoint, Idaho to be near family. There she attended school at Northside Elementary, Sandpoint Junior High, and Sandpoint High School, where she met her first husband, Stephen Lynn Anderton. They were married in 1966 and had four children. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother, who continued the traditions of self-reliance and thrift passed on by her parents.

In 2005 she married Richard Warren in the Salt Lake City, Utah, LDS Temple. Her home was always open to their many family members and friends who enjoyed spending time with them at their home in Athol, Idaho. Her meticulous spirit made their home a place of peace and love. Her husband Rick worked lovingly to ensure she had everything she needed to keep her home beautiful and ready for their many frequent visitors. They welcomed any who would come and their home was often filled with fun and laughter. She was a dedicated and loving parent who kept the gospel in her home.

Charlotte served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for most of her life and in many different callings, all of which she loved and dedicated herself wholeheartedly. Her love was felt by those she served. She was a valiant and faithful servant and a great example of kindness and humility. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life. These beliefs were passed on through generations and remain firm within her family.

Charlotte was a senior administrative assistant at North Idaho College for almost 30 years. She enjoyed her work and walking the grounds of the college the shores of the lake. She made many lifelong friends during her years working at the college and remained close to them after retirement.

Charlotte found peace within her many gardens and tended them daily. She spent countless hours making the world more beautiful and her friends and family often remarked on her beautiful work. Each plant or flower was cared for individually and each brought her joy. Many warm memories were made in Charlotte’s gardens.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15151 N. Meyer Road, Rathdrum, Idaho.
