The public is invited to attend the first talk in the Sunday Speaker Series 2018 entitled “Digging Deeper: Ancient Peoples of the Columbia Basin”. It will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 2-4 p.m. at the historic Pioneer Church, 415 F St. SW along Highway 28 at the Quincy Museum site.

Local historian Mick Qualls will be speaking on subjects such as “Have you ever heard of the Lind Coulee Archaeological Excavations?”, ”Who really lived here first?”, and “Did you know a prehistoric giant sloth was found on Bishop Bench near Quincy?”

In addition, actual pieces of the skull and teeth, along with interpretive information will be on display for viewing. The event is open to the public, ages 8 and above, and is free to all members of QVHSM. $5 suggested donation for non-members.
