The Plains City Hall front desk has a brand new look.

The former welcome desk was taken down and a plexiglass was installed for the ladies behind the desk.

At the February town meeting it was discussed the need for better protection rather than the wide open space that was seen previously.

The installment of the pay window came after it was approved form the February Town Council meeting. Plains Mayor Danny Rowan said that due to some characters coming into the building the clerks were a little concerned for safety reasons.

The council voted unanimously to get the new front entrance completed.
