MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was allegedly intoxicated Tuesday evening when he crashed his vehicle into a power pole and a parked car.

The Moses Lake Police Department was made aware of the crash after concerned citizens reported a person had veered off of South Division Street as they were driving south in a Toyota 4Runner.

The driver, identified as Jason J. Golonka, 41, of Moses Lake, reportedly crashed into a telephone pole, causing it to break in half, as well as a parked Chevrolet Malibu at a nearby apartment complex. There was no reported injuries during either of the collisions.

Golonka reportedly ditched the car and fled the area. He was apprehended a short time later at the corner of South Division Street and Linden Avenue. Police records indicate Golonka was arrested, cited for DUI and hit-and-run and was released from police custody.
