The North Idaho College Adult Education Centers in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene are now accepting new students. The classes prepare students to take the national GED test.

The Adult Education program provides instruction for individuals, 16 years of age and older, who have withdrawn from public school and for adults who have graduated but still have a desire to upgrade their skills. The staff and instructors at the AEC meet with students to assess their needs and goals, determine their current educational level, and create an education plan. Tuition and learning materials are provided at no cost. Understanding basic math, writing and reading skills gives individuals a solid foundation for future educational opportunities, higher earning potential and improved quality of life.

Those interested in either center should contact the Coeur d’Alene Adult Education Center located in the Hedlund Building Room 204 on NIC’s main campus at 208-665-5099 to schedule a mandatory orientation and assessment. NIC Adult Education Centers are also available in Bonners Ferry, Kellogg, and Sandpoint.
