Law enforcement officers last week arrested a man wanted for attempted murder in Coram.

Bryan McCully, 22, of Martin City, is being held in the Flathead County jail on a felony attempted deliberate homicide charge after he reportedly fired bullets through a Hungry Horse residence.

McCully had been attempting to evade law officers after the incident on Sept. 8. Officers located about 28 casings that appeared to have fallen from the weapon used in the attack. Bullets were reportedly shot into walls, doors, and windows at the home of the person McCully was allegedly attempting to kill.

There were several people inside the home when it was shot at, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.

Earlier in the night, McCully and a friend were at a bar in Hungry Horse where he reportedly made threats he was going to hurt a person with whom he had an ongoing dispute.

Witnesses reported seeing McCully with a rifle in his hands shortly after the shooting. Officers located the rifle, an AR-15, which reportedly matched the casings found outside the residence.

McCully is being held on $250,000 bail. If he is found guilty, he could face life in prison.
