PRESS: Bust AP, not Broncos

I would like to present two questions for the staff of the Coeur d’Alene Press to address:

1. Why does the Boise State football team get such scant coverage? Typically an AP blurb that has little detail is about all we see. The Broncos are the best example of a “small town team” that’s taken on the bigger conferences and consistently won. Perfect in the BCS bowls speaks volumes. Instead, The Press heaps copious attention on the WSU Cougars that seldom rise above mediocrity. BSU football has brought positive national attention to our state and it is long past due that the Coeur d’Alene Press acknowledges that. If you can’t send a reporter to their games, I am sure the Idaho Statesman would lend you a little more insight than what you’re currently providing.

2. Why does The Press rely exclusively on the AP for all stories that happen outside our community? While not as overt as the MSM, they are decidedly left learning and many are tired of seeing that bias in almost everything they report. There are other news sources including the internet, which can be counted on for being non-biased and giving conservatives credit when credit is due. It would be nice to see a different, fairer viewpoint on outside news than what we are currently getting. Why can you not use other sources? Solely taking the perspective of the AP without vetting reflects a streak of laziness in how The Press reports these stories.
