PLUMMER — Tommia Pakootas scored 12 points and Tara Allen had eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lakeside Knights past the Wallace Miners 43-31 in a North Star League game on Wednesday at Ron Miller Court.

“We kind of opened things up offensively and were down eight in the first quarter and did most of the scoring late in the first and into the second quarter,” said Lakeside coach Chris Dohrman, whose team outscored Wallace 16-6 in the second quarter. “We got up eight at halftime and were able to slowly extend the lead in the third and fourth quarter. It was a good game overall, and tough to come back after a long weekend.”

Alyssa SiJohn and Kamryn Hendrickx scored 10 points each for Lakeside (9-5, 5-0 NSL), which travels to Genesee on Saturday.

Catie Sheppard scored eight points for Wallace (3-5, 0-2), which hosts Bonners Ferry on Friday.
