COEUR d’ALENE — The Kootenai County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and Idaho Central Credit Union have created the Leeder Family Memorial Fund to assist the Leeder family during their time of loss and for the continued treatment of Jonah Leeder.

Jonah, 20, who was seriously injured Dec. 29 in a car wreck that killed his younger brother, Jacob, is the son of Kootenai County sheriff’s sergeant Tim Leeder.

Jonah is still in critical condition and is being treated in the trauma unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

“The support for the family has been tremendously appreciated as their needs are great as anyone can imagine,” said a news release from the sheriff’s office.

In response to the family’s ongoing needs, the Kootenai County Deputy Sheriff’s Association created the Leeder Memorial Fund to assist them.

Anyone wishing to donate to the Leeder family is encouraged to do so at any Idaho Central Credit Union location. Simply designate your donation or let the ICCU staff know you wish to deposit to the Leeder Family Memorial Account.

By donating at ICCU, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to benefiting the Leeder family.

ICCU has branches located in Post Falls, Hayden, and Coeur d’Alene. You can find the branch location nearest you by visiting www.iccu.com

“On behalf of the Leeder Family, the Kootenai County Deputy Sheriff’s Association would like to express a heartfelt thanks from the Leeder Family for the overwhelming response and support during their family tragedy,” the news release said. “They are thankful for the cards, support, prayer and love from family, friends and the community.”
