MatCats take third at Western Montana Duals

Nathan Hader went undefeated for the MatCats in Ronan over the weekend as Columbia Falls finished third at the Western Montana Duals.

The Cats went 4-2 in their matchups, defeating Broadwater and Libby in the championship round Saturday and Hamilton and Mission/Charlo in pool play on Friday. The Cats fell to the overall winner, Frenchtown (39-27), and Sentinel (45-29).

Along with Hader’s six wins for the Cats, Austin Nelson, Brandon Thomas, Ben Windauer and Colton McPhee each won five over the weekend.

The MatCats will be in action again Thursday as they wrestle at Polson before competing in the Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula this weekend.
