Two United States Postal Service employees were booked and released from the Lake County Jail after an investigation with multiple agencies.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday afternoon that two contractors, Anthony Friscia, 62, and Mary Friscia, 47, both of Polson, were arrested on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Nearly a half-pound of methamphetamine, $1,000 in cash and 10 firearms were seized from the Friscia home following a search warrant.

Both are contracted route drivers with the Polson post office.

A deputy with the office “acted on information” that the two “were utilizing the U.S. Postal Service to traffic methamphetamine into the Polson area from out of state,” Sheriff Don Bell stated in a press release.

An investigation by LCSO, along with the United States Postal Inspector and United States Marshal’s Office, was conducted.

“In coordination with the Polson Post Master, a suspicious package was identified,” Bell said.

The package was not delivered to the address marked on the parcel, but instead to the Friscia home in Polson.

Further information was not immediately available Friday afternoon.

Bell also stated in the press release that other recent narcotics investigations that have been conducted by LCSO in conjunction with drug task forces from Kalispell and Missoula have resulted in the seizure of an addition half-pound of methamphetamine and 10 pounds of marijuana, “all of which was being trafficked from out of the area.”
