GEORGE — A rollover accident claimed the life of a Palisades man over the weekend.

At about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday George Wistos, 53, of Wenatchee, was driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee west on Interstate 90 approximately six miles east of George, when according to a Washington State Patrol press memo, he crossed the median and drifted into the eastbound I-90 lanes. The Jeep reportedly rolled several times before coming to a rest on its top on the eastbound I-90 shoulder.

A passenger in the Jeep, identified as Casey Crockett, 41, of Palisades, died at the scene of the accident. Another passenger in the vehicle, Tina Thorn, 46, of Palisades, was injured and transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment. Wistos was not injured.
