MOSES LAKE — A Warden man was arrested and jailed on Monday in connection with a Sunday night shooting in Moses Lake. Another suspect in the shooting remains at large.

Moses Lake police say Zachary Skone, 20, of Warden, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by a Grant County deputy around noon on Monday. Skone has been named as a suspect in Sunday night’s shooting at Montlake Park in Moses Lake. An 18-year-old man was reportedly shot in the torso during the incident. The victim remains in critical condition at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Skone has been booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

The MLPD says Skone is one of two suspects, but the identity of the second suspect has not been released. The victim reportedly knew at least one of the two suspects. A white pickup truck the suspects left Montlake Park in has reportedly been found by police. Detectives are currently searching for another vehicle that was in the Montlake Park parking lot during the shooting.

Anyone who was in the area of shooting Sunday night and witnessed the incident is asked to contact Det. Aaron Hintz at 509-764-3887.
