MOSES LAKE — An autopsy was performed Wednesday on a Moses Lake man whose house was destroyed in a Monday night fire.

Firefighters found Joseph Mack, 56, in his residence, a mobile home at 1903 West Marina Dr. Mack “didn’t make it out,” according to information from the Moses Lake Police Department.

The fire was reported at 6:38 p.m.

“When the crews got dispatched there was smoke coming out of the residence,” said Moses Lake Fire Marshal Derek Beach. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Beach said.

Firefighters were told at the scene that Mack was disabled, he said, but had not received confirmation of that Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were on the scene until about 10:30 Monday night, Beach said.
