COEUR d’ALENE — Sophomore transfer Ronnie Harris scored 22 points for the Cardinals, but Jade Skidmore’s triple-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists pushed the Warriors to a Northwest Athletic Conference win at Rolly Williams Court.
“It was a heck of a game into the third quarter,” NIC coach Chris Carlson said. “We just gave up some easy baskets at the end of the game. It was a great game, with a lot of high action up and down the court. We just need some better efficiency and possession.”
Lake City High product Cierra Dvorak had 19 points, six rebounds and four assists for NIC (10-7, 1-4 NWAC), which has lost its last four games in conference.
“It was probably the best game we’ve played in four games, which is huge,” said Carlson, whose team scored 27 first quarter points. “Our first quarter was awesome tonight and we just need to keep playing that way. It’s a process and we’ve got to keep moving forward.
Cierra Jo McKeown hit on 7 of 9 from beyond the 3-point line to finish with a game-high 31 points for Walla Walla (17-1, 5-0).
