(Photo by ERIC PLUMMER) The Sandpoint Nordic Club Youth Ski Team has doubled in size since last year, with a total of 66 local 6-18 year-olds of all skill levels out enjoying the cross country track at the University of Idaho property on Boyer Ave. on Wednesday afternoon. “It’s amazing, the kids are really gelling this year,” said Vicki Longhini, one of the coaches on the team pointing as kids raced by on skis. “I mean look at all of them. I see them afterward wanting to ski more. They’re making friends, the sport is connecting them.”
