Robert Lockwood Convery, 82

Robert “Bob” Convery, born Sept. 2, 1935, in Seattle, Wash., passed away peacefully on Jan. 14, 2018, at age 82.

Bob was a graduate of the University of Washington with a master’s degree in mathematics. He worked for Boeing Company as an aeronautical engineer until his retirement in 1996.

During his retirement years Bob loved traveling with his wife, Myrta, and enjoyed ski trips with his children in the Cascade Mountains and Sun Valley. He enjoyed playing golf with his children. He also enjoyed the challenge of playing chess with his three children, whom he taught at an early age. Bob especially loved being with his family.

Bob’s gentle spirit will be missed dearly by his wife, Myrta; his children, Kenneth (Sandra) Convery, Michael (Andrea) Convery and Susan (Hsin) Convery; his stepson, Cody Vinson; grandchildren Jordan, Fiona, Megan, Liam and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Esta Convery of Chehalis, Wash., and survived by his brother, Richard.

Family will gather to celebrate his life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018. Service to be held at Claquato Cemetery, 142 Stearns Road, Chehalis, WA 98532.
