Noel Kimball, 49
Noel Raymond Kimball, 49, of Hayden, Idaho, died Jan. 17, 2018, shortly after being diagnosed with leukemia. He was born Dec. 14, 1968, in Lakewood, Calif., to Sam and Betty Kimball. The family moved to Idaho in 1974.
Noel grew up in Coeur d’Alene and graduated class of ’87 from Coeur d’Alene High School. He joined the Army in 1989 and proudly served during the Gulf War. Before and after serving, Noel worked in the woods, the mills and driving truck, all of which were never really work because he loved it all. Noel married Lauri (Snyder) on July 14, 2000, after dating only 69 days; a love to last a lifetime. Noel took pride in trying to be the greatest husband, dad, son, brother and friend, and was always there for anyone who needed him. He loved anything and everything outdoors, driving log truck, jeeping, hunting, camping and snowmobiling. If he could be on a mountain and in the woods, he was happy.
Noel is survived by his wife, Lauri; sons, Nathan, Brendan and Jayden; his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Kimball; his mother-in-law, Karen Deitz; sister, Belinda (Ron) Carson; brother, Kim (Carol) Kimball; brother, Sam (Cheryl) Kimball; sister, Pamela (James) Smith; brother, Guy Kimball; sister, Melissa (Lymm) Hollis; brother, Brett (Leeann) Kimball; brother, Glenn (Laura) Kimball; brother, Lance (Lisa) Kimball; sister, Dawn (Calvin) Nolan; brother, Ross (Kim) Kimball; sister, Kate (Ken) Woempner, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two of his best friends, his father, Samuel Kimball and his father-in-law, Jerry Deitz.
Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Prairie Avenue Community Church, 3639 W. Prairie Ave, Hayden, Idaho. Reception to follow at same location.
