WENATCHEE, Wash. — Sophomore Cierra Dvorak led four starters in double figures with 19 points for North Idaho College in a 75-68 win over the Wenatchee Valley Knights in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Wednesday at Smith Gym.

Ronnie Harris scored 18 points, Whitney Meier 17 and Sydney Hovde 10 points for NIC (12-7 3-4 NWAC), which has won two straight in conference and moves into a tie with Wenatchee Valley (12-8, 3-4) for fourth in the East Region.

Dvorak had five assists and Hovde 10 rebounds for NIC, which finished the night 26 of 54 from the field and 10 for 11 from the free-throw line.

“We shot the ball really well, especially the 3-pointer,” NIC coach Chris Carlson said. “We shot the ball the best in our most aggressive quarters and it carried over at the foul line too. We got out to a good start and everyone contributed early. They came back and tied it, but we took off again in the fourth. Our girls responded in the final quarter and it was a great win.”

NIC hosts Blue Mountain on Saturday.

Ashlynn Burgess had 25 points and 11 rebounds for Wenatchee Valley.
