RITZVILLE — Speed reportedly played a role in an early Thursday morning collision near Ritzville that left an Idaho man dead.

About 4:35 a.m. Sonny Zeko, 32, of Boise, Idaho was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 east on Interstate 90, about one mile west of Ritzville, when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle. The truck rolled down an embankment and Zeko, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected out of the truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Zeko died at the scene of the collision. The patrol reported the cause of the collision was Zeko speeding too fast for the conditions.
