Facts from the past gleaned from the Moses Lake Herald, Columbia Basin Herald and The Neppel Record by Cheryl (Driggs) Elkins:

From the Moses Lake Herald on Aug. 29, 1941:

Adams County briefs

Ritzville

Adams County established the best record of any county in the state for collection of delinquent property tax during 1940, according to a report and delinquent property tax, according to a report of the state tax commission. Lincoln and Garfield counties were the only ones that came close to equaling the record of Adams County.

-A good many residents of Warden attended the two-day celebration in Moses Lake.

-Mr. and Mrs. Henry McClimans spent this weekend in Spokane.

Dennis note: At one point a Harvey McClinans is mentioned above, then a Henry McClimans is mentioned. Double checked and this is the way they are spelled in the story. Could these two be the same person?
