Meet the Cd'A school superintendent candidates

Citizens living in the Coeur d’Alene School District have a chance to participate in the selection of the public school system’s next leader.
Members of the public are invited to attend a series of sessions next week to hear from each of the three final candidates being considered for the position of school district superintendent.
The public sessions will begin at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday and Wednesday at Coeur d’Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front Ave.
Each evening, one candidate will participate in a discussion that will end by 6 p.m. Afterward, attendees will be invited to spend a little time offering feedback on what they heard.
This input will be provided to the school board to assist in the final selection.
The schedule for the public sessions is:
Tonight, Jan. 29 – Dr. Steven Cook
Tuesday, Jan. 30 – Dr. Christopher Hines
Wednesday, Jan. 31 – Dr. Trina Caudle
The successful candidate will replace Stan Olson, who was named interim superintendent for the 2017-18 school year. Olson joined the district last summer after former Superintendent Matt Handelman left to take another position.
