It’s time for creative, artistic high school students to prepare their entries for the 2018 United Way Spring Dash T-shirt Contest.

The annual 5-mile run, in its 36th year, is scheduled for Sunday, April 22.

Each year, the official Spring Dash T-shirt is designed by a local high school student who wins the T-shirt design contest.

The design winner will receive a $100 cash prize, recognition in the Coeur d’Alene Press and the opportunity to work with the T-shirt company to see the process of transforming their original artwork to a finished product. The winning design will be printed on 1,000 T-shirts and distributed to all Spring Dash participants.

Original work must be submitted to United Way of North Idaho, 501 E. Lakeside Ave., Suite 3, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

Colors are highly encouraged and designs may be in any medium but must include the following: tulips, the words “Spring Dash,” and “36th Annual.”

Entries must be received by noon, Friday, March 16, and must include the artist’s name, address and phone number on the back of the entry.

The Spring Dash planning committee will have full rights to the winning entry.

All other entries may be returned upon request.

A benefit for United Way of North Idaho, the run begins in McEuen Park going to Sanders Beach and on to Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

Spring Dash is a qualifier for Bloomsday and benefits United Way of North Idaho.

Race information and registration can be found at www.UnitedWayofNorthIdaho.org/SpringDash or by calling 208-667-8112.
