Moore, Banks lead Wampus Cats in rout

HARRISON FLATS — Sophomore guard Kobe Banks continues to leave a lot of ink on the stat sheet, tallying 13 points, seven rebounds, seven steals, four assists and three blocks in a strong all-around performance, leading Clark Fork to a 60-26 dispatching of Kootenai in North Star League boys basketball on Saturday.
The Wampus Cats (2-8, 2-5 NSL), who finished off the season sweep of the Warriors by jumping out to a 36-12 halftime lead and never looking back, had four players reach double figures in scoring.
Senior Bryant Moore led the balanced Cats with 18 points, Cameron Garcia scored 14 and T.J. Henderson added 13 points and six rebounds in the win. Wade Stevens posted two points, eight rebounds and five steals, and Josh Constantin pulled down six rebounds for the Wampus Cats, who travel to face Lakeside on Thursday.

The Clark Fork girls continue to create havoc and steals with their 1-3-1 half court trap, this time using it to down Kootenai 50-30 on Saturday for the road win.
Brooke Stevens scored 14 points to go with five steals, Kayle Banks scored 14 and led the team in rebounding, and Sara Hathaway scored six points to go with six steals, as the Cats continue to create easy transition offense with steals on the perimeter.
Clark Fork (8-8, 5-3), winners of five straight, could be a sleeper in the upcoming district tournament.
