MOSES LAKE — Grant County Mosquito District No. 2, which handles mosquitoes in the north end of the county from Grand Coulee and Electric City to the southern end of Banks Lake is seeking applications from anyone interested in serving on the district’s board of trustees.
The five member board does not currently need members, but according to Board Chairman Randy Gumm, three will likely be three vaccines on the mosquito control board “soon.”
The positions are unpaid, though transportation expenses may be covered.
“The Board meets monthly and provides financial oversight of the operations, but does not participate in the daily operations,” the commission press release said.
Applicants need to reside in the district. For an application or more information, check out the Grant County web page section “Request for Volunteers” or call the County Commissioners Office at 509-754-2011, ext. 2931. Deadline for applications is Friday, Feb. 23.
